Another “Pearl of polish Economy” goes to Z. Ch. ”Alwernia” S.A.
In this year’s 9th edition of the ranking of Polish companies organised by the editorial board of the English-language economic magazine “Polish Market” and the Institute of Economic Sciences at the Polish Academy of Sciences, Zakłady Chemiczne “Alwernia” S.A. has once again been honoured with the certificate and the title of a Pearl of Polish Economy in the Great Pearl category for consistent implementation of the company’s policy and strategy and for occupying leading position among the most dynamic and most efficient companies in Poland. Every year, approximately 2000 companies take part in the ranking, which is considered the most objective barometer of Polish economy. The ranking is created with the use of a special computer algorithm which synthesises the dynamics of measures showing the efficiency of resource use (turnover profitability, return on assets, return on equity, efficiency of work and debt ratio). As in the previous years, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy Waldemar Pawlak and the President of the Polish Academy of Sciences Michał Kleiber were honorary patrons of the event. The certificates were awarded during the Pearls of Polish Economy Gala held on 28 November 2011 in the Grand Theatre in Warsaw. President of the Board of Directors Wiesław Hałucha accepted the distinction on the company’s behalf. It is the company’s third distinction in the ranking in a row. Our company got it in 2009 and 2010 as well.
