President of the Board of Directors, Wiesław Hałucha, has won the KRAKOWSKI DUKAT award in the “Company Manager” category.
On 17 June 2011, in the Stanisław Wyspiański Hall of the State Higher Acting School in Cracow, the ceremony of presenting “Krakowski Dukat” awards was held. The award is granted by the Board of the Cracow Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Honorary patrons of the event were Mayor of Cracow Jacek Majchrowski, Governor of Małopolska Stanisław Kracik and Marshal of the Małopolskie Province Marek Sowa.
“Krakowski Dukat” is a regional award for companies with outstanding achievements in economic development. The awards are granted in four categories: creator of entrepreneurship, company manager, company owner and local-government creator of entrepreneurship.
They do not go to companies or enterprises, but to persons who are the company’s owners or managers, who build the company’s future position. The award honours those who achieve excellent economic results and are able to share their success with the community in which the person/the company operates. It is an exceptional distinction granted to entrepreneurs from the region who, through their business operations, have positively affected the development and life of local community. It is given to entrepreneurial and creative people who inspire to create new opportunities for growth. It rewards people for creating conditions for development and spreading entrepreneurship; for their professional reliability, high level of ethics and professional achievements. During 20 years, the Board of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry awarded the Krakowski Dukat medal to nearly 140 people.
This year, the prestigious award has been granted to Mr. Wiesław Hałucha, President of the Board of Directors of “Alwernia” S.A. in the “Company Manager” category.
