The strategy of “Alventa” S.A. focuses on the utmost objective of achieving the highest possible ecological neutrality in the direct and further surroundings.
In striving to make the Company an environmentally friendly company and to obtain a proven, effective, and practical tool for reduction of environmental impact to a minimum, the Company’s Management Board decided to implement an Environmental Management System.
The system was certified for the first time for compliance with the ISO 14001:1996 standard in 1999. In 2006, the system was recertified for compliance with the ISO 14001:2004 standard.
Implementation of the Environmental Management System in the Company has, among other things, improved the ecological awareness of the employees who perform works that have or may have an environmental impact and enabled achievement of the organization’s compliance with provisions of the environmental law.
In 2018, the Quality Management System at “Alventa” S.A. was successfully evaluated as compliant with the PN-EN ISO 14001:2015-09 standard. On 06 June 2022, the Company obtained a Certificate for the Environmental Management System, which will be valid until 05 June 2025.
The Environmental Management System describes, among other things, the detailed requirements concerning operational control, identification and evaluation of aspects and their environmental impact, monitoring of environmental parameters, and other actions required by the relevant standard. These constitute supervision mechanisms in environmental management and contribute to implementation of the Company’s Policy related to reduction to a minimum of the collateral impact of the Company’s operations on people and the natural environment.
Scope of certification:
Production and sale of phosphorus and chromium compounds, nitrates and sulfates, including permitted additional substances, feed, fertilizers, and flame retardants. Production of electricity and thermal energy, wastewater treatment, disposal and use of waste, service activity.
